Country
i
An angel’s arm dies
from morning lethargy
bleeding mist
as tied toes dyed
in coffee lust to
kiss the whitewash
The
parting leaves
commend you as you
crush the host of dandelions
gracefully waving
gestures and
blue farewells to
the moaning canopy of trees
whispering their death.
ii Town
Splinters of wine sips
drown the night along
the western front
where grass grows after
the showers of soldier-blood
bathe the soil
I cannot choke
in the burning symphony
of heavy nostalgia clouds
anymore
